The 10-mile Discovery Bike Trail winds through a variety of scenic woodland environments and stops at all of the gardens and attractions along the way. Widely known for family-friendly riding, the gently rolling paved trail is perfect for all ages and abilities. Bring your own bike or rent one at the Virginia Hand Callaway Discovery Center.

Explore a vast network of foot trails designed to whisk you away to the very heart of Georgia’s natural wonder.

Located in Meadowlark Garden, the Holly Trail boasts one of the country’s largest displays of Asian and American holly collections and a picturesque gazebo. Nearby, the Thornhill Hydrangea Garden and large picnic area offer a serene environment for quiet reflection.

This trail features many native plants of Georgia including many uncommon species. This shaded trail offers a gazebo, waterfall, small ponds, babbling stream, and a picturesque bridge overlooking Mountain Creek Lake. Trailhead located adjacent to Pioneer Log Cabin.

This woodland path rambles along the water’s edge, offering a glimpse at the diverse flora and wildlife, including turtles, fish, ducks, herons, and other aquatic residents. Two gazebos provide delightful spots to sit and enjoy the surroundings.

This 1.6-mile path weaves through the Overlook Azalea Garden, a natural amphitheater whose namesake blooms explode with Spring color, and companion plantings offer additional color and texture throughout the year.

This 0.6-mile route near the Day Butterfly Center highlights evergreen rhododendrons near the southern limits of their range. A secluded sitting area offers an opportunity to observe waterfowl on Hummingbird Lake.

Near the Overlook Azalea Garden, the trail hugs the water’s edge on one side and a woodland habitat on the other. Look for wood ducks nesting near the bridge.
